New all India Radio Stations

One hundred and ninety five All India Radio Sub-Stations will be set up in the country during the 11th Five Year Plan. 50 new sub-stations will be set up in 18 states viz:

Also one hundred forty five FM transmitters - 100 Nos. in North East Region and 45 in rest of the country would be set up.The Government has allocated Rs. 163.90 crores for setting up of these stations. This information was given by Dr. S.Jagathrakshakan Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha today.
